About FreshFlax

Our Story

FreshFlax started with a simple frustration: why is it so hard to find truly fresh ground flaxseed?

We knew the science — whole flax seeds pass through undigested, and pre-ground flaxseed meal oxidizes rapidly on store shelves. The only way to get the full nutritional benefit of flaxseed is to grind it immediately before eating. Yet there wasn't a single brand dedicated to making that easy.

So we built one. We partnered with ceramic engineers to design burr mills specifically optimized for flax seeds — not coffee beans, not spices, but the small, oily, nutrient-dense seeds that deserve their own tool. We sourced organic flaxseed directly from small family farms in North Dakota and Montana. And we created a brand that makes fresh-ground flaxseed feel effortless, not complicated.

Today, FreshFlax is the go-to brand for people who want maximum nutrition from every tablespoon of flaxseed. Our mills are in kitchens across the country, and our customers consistently tell us that the difference in taste and energy is remarkable.
